The Town Clerk offers a wide range of licensing, records, and informational services to town residents. Licensing and permits include marriage licenses, hunting/fishing/trapping licenses, disabled parking permits, dog licenses, block party permits, peddler/solicitor licenses, and racing/wagering licenses.

Other services include processing passport applications as well as maintaining town records and archives. The Town Clerk also prepares and collects property taxes for residents of the Town of Fabius from January through March 31st.

Fabius property owners can visit Tax Lookup to find their tax bill online. Residents can expect their tax bill in the mail no later than January 3rd. If you do not receive your tax bill by January 3rd, contact the tax collector’s office at 315-683-5215 or check online. Residents are responsible for insuring that their taxes are paid on time.

Payments received by Jan 31st will be accepted with no penalty. Payments received between February 1st and March 1st are considered late and will be subject to a late penalty. Additional penalties will be applied at the first of each month. After March 31st all paperwork goes to the Onondaga County Finance Department’s Office.

Partial payments will be accepted as long as first payment is postmarked by January 31st.

Note: For tax payments only, the postmark is valid as the date due for the bill payment date. Late payments will be charged the interest due amount stated on the bill and will be returned to the taxpayer if the bill is not received on time. The postmark must reflect the due date to be considered on time.

The Assessor will be in the office at the Pompey Town Hall on Mondays 9:00am to Noon and his Assistant will be in the office on Tuesdays from Noon to 3:00pm.

Responsible for the enforcement of laws which relate to the construction, repair, demolition, removal, or relocation of buildings or structures. Also responsible for researching, establishing, maintaining and overseeing the implementation of general and specific/area plans for land use.
